I just can't stop writing about this .me domain! LOL. Maybe I was a fool thinking I landed insure.me in the first hour of the open registration period. I remember at that time my hands went cold after receiving confirmation thinking of the moolah I can make out of selling insure.me. But low and behold, it was unfortunately reserved for the .me domain auctions.I really can't tell how many people have been bidding on this .me domain because it is kept restricted to auction participants only. Nevertheless, we can still see what's going on and it looks like them bidders are driving the bids for this .me domain out the roof!
I'm seeing this battle goes to $30,000. I got $10 that says it does! :D

Interestingly, not even those participating in a given auction know how many bidders there are, nor will they get this information afterwards.

(Trying to estimate value of guard.me, rsvp.me, trace.me, buzz.me, wipe.me, sign.me, view.me)
why.me domain name auction: Just to let everyone know, I am bidding on why.me domain name for an anniversary present for my girlfriend whom I love very much. It is the first line of the poem I have written her (referencing my adoration for her being with me).
Bottom line: I am willing to spend about $9,000 on the .me domain, maybe more. and if you would like to discuss it with me in private, please email aupusher@gmail.com.
And thank you to the author of this article for giving me this opportunity.
insure.me is up to $11k now, and why.me is at $600 on auctions.domain.me.
tdnam.com already has some auctions going on as well- nobodyloves.me is $500, mssql.me is going for $5000, profitsharing.me is $20k, foxnews.me is $45k, and prepay.me is going for $49,995 (prepaid.me is a premium name to be auctioned by the registry down the road for who knows how much). There's even moisturizing.me for a cool $50k. These will be interesting to watch.
There are still LLL and ###s available as well, so time to stop blogging and go buy!
@ andrew
Whoah! Some serious money for why.me... All the best!
@ anonymous,
Thanks for the heads-up on tdnam. I forgot they're auctioning as well.
Perfect for a write up later.
Cheers!
Well, to "anonymous" listing prices for domains at tdnam.com auction: These domains will not "go for" the stated prices. These prices are ask prices, and I am pretty sure you will not get 50.000 USD for moisturizing.me. /Fredrik
@fredrik
That's what I thought as well. Most after-market auction sites often contain overpriced domains that rarely get any bites.
I have some domains at tdnam myself and I try not too go overboard with the asking.
@ Fredrik
Sorry for the confusion my earlier comment caused. When I said "going for" I meant asking price by the sellers.
There are currently no .ME domains with any bids on tdnam. Just offers for sale with asking prices, buy now/or offer and a few 7-day auctions.
Syntax, oh well. The point was, the aftermarket auctions (and what happens there) are another way to gauge this new TLD, as well as another opportunity to get your hands on some good names if you missed them in the opening hours.
WHY.ME is up to $2656 BTW.
I've got SICK.me, and I'm going go throw it up on the block, but most likely I'll just hold on to it for a while, because how many four letter English words with a two letter TLD that is ALSO an English word exist, will be available, or make any sense for business use? I also like how SICK can be used in the literal sense of being ill, or in poor health, but as a colloquialism as being hip, fashionable, and cool.
I am just curious on how successful the .me domain will be down the road? I was very happy to get www.computerize.me, it was almost a day after the registration began. I also got nationalize.me and economize.me, any thoughts on those domains?
SICK.ME is pretty sweet. 'Might look to develop it into a self-help/diagnosis site or even sell it to a company like webmd.
WHY.ME is up to $4705, and INSURE.ME is $22,880 with 22hrs to go. I'm surprised california.me isn't higher than $1131.
I'm in on the bidding for style.me and insure.me, currently both are above my personal limit for buying them, even though I know they are worth it. If anyone is interested in talking to me privately about any possibilities or co-op purchase, let me know. mike prasad at gmail.com (no spaces/add @ symbol)
